Massage Therapy
Registered Massage Therapy encompasses a range of hands-on techniques and or modalities utilized to address muscles, soft tissues, and joints in the body. Its goal is to either maintain or enhance physical function and alleviate discomfort. Common conditions massage therapy can help with:
- Headaches/migraines
- Neck pain
- Mid back Pain
- Low back pain
- Upper & Lower extremity pain
- Sports related injuries
- Pregnancy related pain
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists specialize in exercise program design in rehabilitation and performance. Our full-body treatment approach restores balance by decreasing tension, reducing pain, improving your posture, increasing your range of motion, and building your strength. All sessions include an assessment, manual therapy, corrective movement, and a comprehensive treatment plan.
Physiotherapists may also use methods such as: shockwave, TENS/IFC, joint mobilizations, myofascial techniques, and corrective exercises.
Acupuncture Provider
Acupuncture is the insertion of a non medicated thin filament needle in a specific joint, muscle or nerve to create a “good inflammation” response. “Good inflammation” allows for more blood flow to a specific area. This blood flow carries “fresh oxygen” allowing for a quicker recovery time.
Acupuncture or electro-acupuncture has been shown to help a variety of conditions: headaches/migraines, low back pain, tennis and golfer's elbow and many more.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave is an acoustic sound wave that carries high energy to a painful or tight spot. This energy provokes healing - tissue regeneration, elimination of calcification, pain relief, muscle relaxation, and reversal of chronic inflammation. .Common conditions that are often treated are plantar fascitis, heel spurs, tendonopathy/tendonosis, epicondylitis, patella femoral pain syndrome, I calcific tendonopathy, achilles injuries, or any chronically tight muscles.
Concussion Care
A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury that can occur after a significant impact to the head or body. It is caused by a sudden acceleration or deceleration of the brain within the skull, resulting in dysfunction of brain cells and decreased blood flow.
Following a concussion injury, it is important to seek the care of a healthcare professional with training and experience in concussion as soon as possible. Recent studies have shown that the sooner you receive quality concussion care, the better your recovery will be.
Custom Orthotics
An orthotic is a medical device that is designed to improve alignment, prevent or correct biomechanical issues associated with lower extremities or back pain. Our foot orthotics are custom made.
Dr. Bali conducts an in depth history and biomechanical assessment to determine whether a patient is an appropriate candidate for orthotics.
Custom orthotics are commonly prescribed and dispensed to patients suffering from plantar fasciitis or plantar fasciosis. Athletes use custom orthotics to help improve balance, endurance, strength and performance. Also, those who work in an industry that requires walking on hard surfaces such as custodial workers, nurses, construction workers and more would greatly benefit from custom orthotics in their work shoes.
